Microsoft Services Agreement August 2020

«You will receive this email because we are updating the Microsoft Services agreement that applies to one or more Microsoft products or services you use. We present these updates to clarify our terms and conditions and ensure they remain transparent to you, as well as to cover new Microsoft products, services and features. What`s funny is that I haven`t installed MS «services» on my Mac. But I have a «product.» Except that it is a piece of software to soon reach EOL (read more, in an instant). And while I have Windows 7 in my PC, it`s now an outdated system as far as MS is concerned. I don`t subscribe to the agreement proposed by MS to extend the lifespan and I don`t even fix it with 0day support micropatches. I isolated it from the Internet and for communication between it and the rest of the world, I use the Linux operating system now on pc co-installed with Win 7. I use Win 7 to run older application software and occasionally older files that I still have to work with. According to media reports, the updated agreement was published on 1 August 2020 with effect on 1 October 2020. Some media have quoted headlines translated as «Microsoft`s New Statement: No Clerical If Windows Supplied to China Stops.» Microsoft has not yet officially announced any changes to Xbox Live Gold, but the company has now updated its service agreement to replace Xbox Live with the Xbox online service. Another notable change in the updated document is the use of «Xbox consoles» to refer to Xbox One and Xbox 360 consoles. It would be a little surprising to see Microsoft`s Xbox Live Gold get rid of gold, one of the company`s oldest consumer subscription services and probably a good source of revenue. However, the company may want to make a difference before the launch of a new generation of consoles, and free multiplayer could convince PlayStation fans to give the Xbox ecosystem a second look.

Even if the new service agreement no longer explicitly mentions «Xbox Live» or Xbox Live Gold, the subscription service and free online multiplayer paywall may not disappear immediately. According to the store list for Halo: Infinite continues to require the free-to-play multiplayer mode of the Xbox Live Gold game on Xbox One consoles. However, this is not the most recent content of Microsoft`s agreement. The text is identical to what Microsoft released on July 1, 2019. Microsoft cites the statement in question since at least 2016. In addition, there are 14 new elements in Microsoft`s updated service agreement, but most of them are changes to the company`s content rules, and it is not possible to find expressions similar to «unsused Windows services.» I received a similar email, with an almost menacing quality. However, I clicked on the sender (service agreement) and it is filled in to `email address` is deleted for data protection ` hmmmm nopefish`. So I searched and found. thnks for confirmation. You will receive this email because we update the Microsoft Services agreement, which applies to one or more Microsoft products or services you use. It says products and services, so it could contain a lot of things from Office software to Hotmail/msn/Outlook email accounts to all other Microsoft offers – hardware or software.
